Anita Shabdeesh is a renowned actress, recognized for her notable performances in films like "Udta Punjab" (2016), "The Legend of Bhagat Singh" (2002), and "Ekam: Son of Soil" (2010). Her journey in theater can be described as a "rebirth," starting with S. Gursharan Singh's stage production "Nava Janam" in 1993, which translates to 'Rebirth'. This marked the beginning of her professional career in theater, following a previous enactment in Dr. Atamjit's production "Risheteyan Da Kee Rakhiye Naa" in 1988.

In 1999, Anita Shabdeesh established her own theater group, 'Suchetak Rangmanch (R) Mohali,' and made her directorial debut with Asgar Wajahat's play "Inna Di Aawaz." She has since performed in over 100 plays and directed 45 plays, showcasing her versatility and passion for the art form.

Anita Shabdeesh's career extends beyond theater, encompassing numerous feature films such as "Mannat," "Ekam," "Yaar Perdesi," "Kabaddi Once Again," "Channa Sachi Muchi," among others, and serials including "Sarhad," "Man Jite Jagjit," "Paro Di Muskaan," "Akhiyan To Door Jaain Na," "Kach Diyan Wanga," and more. She has also taken her talent abroad, performing three solo plays in the USA, Canada, and the UK.

Additionally, Anita Shabdeesh has ventured into directing, having helmed the documentary "Kranti Da Kalakaar," which is based on the biography of S. Gursharan Singh. The documentary was produced under her own banner, showcasing her multifaceted abilities in the world of performing arts.
