Biography

Shekar Chandru, commonly known as Shekar Chandra, is a Kannada cinematographer from India, born on 1st June 1974 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Chandra started his career in cinematography in 2001.

Apart from that, he has cinematographed various other movies including Aramane and Bombaat (2008), Gulama and Sangama (2009), the famous Krishnan sequel, Andhar Bahar (2013), Chowka (2017), and many more.

He was also nominated by SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) as the Best Cinematographer for two consecutive years — Bachchan (2013) and Brahma (2014). In 2021, he released Kotigobba 3, an action thriller starring Sudeep.

Holds a Diploma in Cinematography from SJP, Bangalore.

Has worked on 40+ feature films, earning recognition for his creative and technically proficient cinematography.
