Biography
Vikram Sirikonda, born on July 20, 1977, in Warangal, Telangana, is a prominent Indian film director and screenwriter known for his contributions to the Telugu film industry. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for acting, storytelling, and writing dialogues, often penning stage dramas. He pursued a bachelor's degree in engineering from the B.M.S. Institute of Technology and Management in Bangalore and later obtained a diploma in filmmaking from the Asian Academy of Film & Television in Delhi.
Sirikonda began his career in cinema as an assistant director, working under V. V. Vinayak on films like "Tagore" (2003), "Samba" (2004), and "Bunny" (2005). He further honed his skills by assisting Raghava Lawrence on "Style" (2006). Transitioning to screenwriting, he achieved success with films such as "Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam" (2009), "Mirapakay" (2011), and "Race Gurram" (2014). His debut screenplay for "Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam" earned him the Nandi Award for Best Screenplay Writer in 2009.
In 2018, Sirikonda made his directorial debut with "Touch Chesi Chudu," starring Ravi Teja, Raashi Khanna, and Seerat Kapoor. Despite high expectations, the film received unfavorable reviews from critics and audiences upon release but later found success among OTT and television audiences.
