Biography

Aamani is an Indian actress who has predominantly worked in Telugu cinema, in addition to appearing in Tamil and Kannada films. Born on 16 November 1973 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, she began her career with small roles before establishing herself as one of the prominent Telugu actresses of the 1990s.

Aamani made her breakthrough as a lead actress with Jamba Lakidi Pamba (1992), directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana. She subsequently gained recognition through films such as Mister Pellam (1993), Subhalagnam (1994), and Subha Sankalpam (1995). Mister Pellam won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu.

Her performance in Subhalagnam earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu, while she received Nandi Awards for Best Actress for Mister Pellam and Subha Sankalpam.

After taking a break from films, Aamani returned to acting with Aa Naluguru (2004). She later became a familiar face in supporting and character roles, appearing in films including Srimanthudu (2015), MCA – Middle Class Abbayi (2017), Bharat Ane Nenu (2018), NTR: Mahanayakudu (2019), Chaavu Kaburu Challaga (2021), Most Eligible Bachelor (2021), and Virupaksha (2023).
