Biography
Abbas is an Indian actor and model who rose to fame in the Tamil film industry, later appearing in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada films as well. Known for his charming looks and natural screen presence, he became one of the most popular romantic heroes of South Indian cinema during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Abbas made his acting debut with the Tamil blockbuster “Kadhal Desam” (1996), directed by Kathir. The film, which also starred Vineeth and Tabu, was a huge success and established Abbas as a youth icon. His portrayal of a college student caught in a love triangle earned him widespread recognition and several modeling and film offers.
Following this breakthrough, Abbas appeared in several hit films such as “Minnale” (2001), “Padayappa” (1999) alongside Rajinikanth, “Anniyan” (2005) directed by Shankar, and “Aasai Thambi” (1998). He was admired for his ability to play both romantic and supporting roles with ease. His performances in films like Rajahamsa (Kannada), Shubham (Telugu), and Style (Hindi) showcased his versatility across different languages.
