Abhay Chopra was born into the prestigious Chopra family of Bollywood. He is the grandson of the legendary filmmaker B.R. Chopra and the son of Ravi Chopra, both of whom were instrumental in shaping Indian cinema through iconic films and television shows. Growing up in a creative environment, Abhay developed a passion for storytelling, cinema, and production from an early age.

Abhay Chopra began his career by working behind the scenes on various film projects, learning the nuances of direction and production. He later co-founded Film Companion and became associated with B.R. Films, continuing the family’s cinematic tradition.

He made his directorial debut with the 2017 film “Ittefaq,” a modern adaptation of the 1969 classic directed by his grandfather. The film, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha, and Akshaye Khanna, was praised for its sleek storytelling, gripping suspense, and fresh take on a classic thriller. Abhay also served as one of the writers of the film, showcasing his versatility as a storyteller.
