Biography

Abhiraj Minawala is an Indian film director and assistant director known for his work in Bollywood. He began his career in the film industry around 2009, starting as an assistant director. Over the years, he has contributed to several notable films, honing his skills and gaining experience in various aspects of filmmaking.​

Career Progression

Minawala's early work includes serving as an assistant director on films such as Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009), Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011). He continued in this role for Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), Gunday (2014), Fan (2016), and Sultan (2016). These experiences allowed him to work closely with prominent directors and actors, shaping his understanding of the industry.

Directorial Debut and Subsequent Projects

In 2018, Minawala made his directorial debut with Loveyatri, a romantic drama produced by Salman Khan Films. The film introduced new talents Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain to the audience.

Following his debut, Minawala directed several music videos, including Tera Hua and Dholida in 2018, and Pyaar Karona in 2020. He also directed promotional content for Tiger 3 in 2022.

Upcoming Projects

Minawala is set to direct Mardaani 3, the third installment in the action-thriller series starring Rani Mukerji. The film is currently in pre-production, with shooting scheduled to commence in April 2025.
