Abhirup Ghosh is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and editor known for his innovative contributions to Bengali cinema and web series. He has garnered attention for his unique storytelling, particularly in the thriller and horror genres.
Career Highlights
Early Works: Ghosh began his directorial journey with the short film Sanda Da: Year One in 2013, which he also wrote. He later directed Chobi vs Boi (2013) and made his feature film debut with the sci-fi thriller K: Secret Eye in 2017.
Zombiesthaan (2019): Ghosh directed Zombiesthaan, the first Bengali-language zombie film, set in a post-apocalyptic Bengal. The film starred Rudranil Ghosh, Rajatava Dutta, and Tanusree Chakraborty.
Rahasya Romancha Series (2019–2020): He directed all three seasons of this Bengali thriller web series, which was initially conceived as a film but later adapted into a series format for the Hoichoi platform.
