Abhishek Banerjee
Biography
Abhishek is a rising Indian screenwriter with experience across feature films and series. Abhishek made his screenwriting debut in 2018 with the acclaimed horror feature Pari, produced by Clean Slate Films and starring Anushka Sharma.
He started his writing career as a copywriter in Bates India and then moved to Radio Mirchi where he worked as a script developer and episode director for their horror show, Sunday Suspense. His upcoming feature film, Chakda 'Xpress, is the official biopic of cricket star Jhulan Goswami, starring Anushka Sharma and directed by Prosit Roy, and is currently in post-production.
Abhishek's current projects also include a survival thriller series co-developed with Prosit Roy, a feature film with Applause Entertainment, and another feature film alongside Sudip Sharma and Anurag Kashyap. Abhishek most recently co-wrote the upcoming second season of the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime Video series Paatal Lok. He is currently developing his original psychological horror feature and a dark comedy series.
