Abhishek Pathak
Biography
Abhishek Pathak is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter associated primarily with Hindi cinema. Born on 1 July 1987 in Punjab, India, he studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy before entering the Indian film industry.
Pathak began his filmmaking journey with the short film Boond (2009), which he directed and wrote. He later directed the music video “Outfit” by Guru Randhawa in 2019 and made his feature-film directorial debut with Ujda Chaman (2019).
His breakthrough came with Drishyam 2 (2022), starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna and Shriya Saran. Pathak directed the film and also worked on its adapted screenplay and production. The film was a Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name written and directed by Jeethu Joseph.
As a producer, Pathak has been associated with several Hindi films and has worked through the production company Panorama Studios alongside his father, Kumar Mangat Pathak. His production credits include projects such as Drishyam 2 and other contemporary Hindi productions.
