Abishek Kumar is a versatile entertainer whose career spans acting, stand-up comedy, and content creation. He began his journey in theatre, developing his craft and a distinct style that laid the foundation for his transition into stand-up comedy.
In 2020, he won Comicstaan Semma Comedy Pa on Prime Video, showcasing his talent and establishing himself as a leading performer in the comedy scene. He has also toured internationally with Nirmal Pillai, performing their crowdwork special Reel to Real across more than ten countries.
As a content creator, Abishek has built a loyal following with his engaging and relatable work. His viral digital character, Mrs. Janaki—a quirky school teacher reacting to everyday situations—has been widely celebrated online.
In acting, Abishek has appeared in numerous TV commercials and made his film debut with Oh Manapenne! (2021), followed by roles in Hey Sinamika! (2022) and Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal (2022).
