Biography

Adam John Sztykiel is an American screenwriter, producer, and director known for his work in both television and film. Born on January 9, 1978, in Detroit, Michigan, he developed an early interest in storytelling and entertainment. He later attended the University of Southern California, graduating in 2000 and preparing for a career in Hollywood.

Sztykiel began gaining recognition as a screenwriter with the romantic comedy Made of Honor (2008). His success continued with major Hollywood projects such as Due Date (2010), Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015), Rampage (2018), Scoob! (2020), Black Adam (2022), and Family Switch (2023). His writing often combines humor, action, and emotional storytelling, making him a versatile figure in contemporary entertainment.

In television, Sztykiel became widely known as the creator of the sitcom Undateable, which aired from 2014 to 2016 and was inspired by a relationship-themed book. The series highlighted his talent for comedy and helped establish his reputation as a creator and executive producer. He also contributed to television projects, including Whiskey Cavalier and Bad Monkey.
