Aditi Sudhir Pohankar
Biography
Aaditi Sudhir Pohankar is an Indian actress and stage performer who works mainly in Bollywood, Marathi, and Tamil films. Both her parents were athletes. During her school days, she represented her state in athletics and even won medals.
She started out as a theatre artist and worked with veteran theatre actor Makrand Deshpande. She was mentored by Pandit Satyadev Dubey and participated in many stage plays in Mumbai.
Pohankar entered the Hindi film industry with the movie LSD: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha (2010).
She got her first break playing longer roles with the Marathi film Lai Bhaari (2014) opposite Riteish Deshmukh, where she played a negative role. She won the IMFAA Award for Best Debutant Female for her performance in this film.
Pohankar made her debut in Tamil films with the movie Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum (2017).
She was part of a Hindi Netflix series titled She (2020), in which she played the lead role of Bhumika Pardeshi. The story was written by Imtiaz Ali and Divya Johry.
Later, in the same year, Pohankar was a part of the popular web series Aashram (2020) in all seasons. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2021 at the Bollywood Life OTT Awards for her performance in the series.
Besides these, she has been a part of movies like Truckbhar Swapna (2018) and Typecaste (2017).
Pohankar was ranked 47th in The Times Most Desirable Women (2020).
