Biography
Aimee Carrero is an American actress, born on July 15, 1988, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in International Relations before pursuing acting professionally.
Carrero began her acting career with appearances in television series including Hannah Montana, Lincoln Heights, and The Mentalist. She made her feature-film debut in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (2009) and later gained recognition for her role as Angie Prietto in the television film Level Up (2011) and its subsequent series.
She became widely known for playing Sofia Rodriguez in the Freeform comedy series Young & Hungry (2014–2018). She also appeared in The Americans, The Last Witch Hunter, Devil's Due, Maid, and The Menu.
Carrero has also established herself as a prominent voice actress. She voiced Princess Elena in Disney's animated series Elena of Avalor and Adora/She-Ra in Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
In 2023, she starred as Patti in the psychological thriller series The Consultant, alongside Christoph Waltz, Nat Wolff, and Brittany O'Grady. Her more recent credits include The Menu, Code 3, and Your Friends & Neighbors.
