Ajai Vasudev
Biography
Ajai Vasudev is an Indian filmmaker who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He began his career as an assistant director and worked on more than 25 films before making his directorial debut.
He made his debut as a director with Rajadhi Raja in 2014, an action thriller starring Mammootty. The film marked the beginning of his association with the actor, which continued with Masterpiece (2017) and Shylock (2020).
Masterpiece was a Malayalam action-crime thriller featuring Mammootty alongside Unni Mukundan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Mukesh, Gokul Suresh and Maqbool Salmaan. In 2020, Vasudev directed Shylock, a commercial Malayalam film starring Mammootty, Meena, Rajkiran and Siddique.
He later directed Pakalum Paathiravum (2023), an action thriller starring Kunchacko Boban, Rajisha Vijayan and Guru Somasundaram. He has also worked as an actor in films including Shylock, Malikappuram, Mandakini, Virunnu and Murivu.
