Biography
Ajay Bhupathi, born Ajay Narasimha Naga Bhupathi Raju, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who primarily works in Telugu cinema. He began his career as an associate director, working with filmmakers including Ramesh Varma, Veeru Potla, and Ram Gopal Varma.
He worked on films such as Doosukeltha, Attack, Killing Veerappan, Vangaveeti and Veera before making his directorial debut with RX 100 (2018). The film received positive reception and was later remade in Hindi as Tadap (2021).
His subsequent directorial projects include Maha Samudram (2021), starring Sharwanand and Siddharth, and the psychological thriller Mangalavaaram (2023). Ajay Bhupathi is known for exploring intense relationships, emotional conflicts and unconventional themes in his films.
