Akku Akbar
Biography
Akku Akbar is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He is best known for directing films that combine family drama, romance, comedy and socially relevant themes.
He began his directorial career with Swantham Bharya Zindabad (2010), followed by films such as Vellaripravinte Changathi (2011), Bharya Athra Pora (2013), Utopiayile Rajavu (2015), Jana Gana Mana (2022) and Kishkindha Kaandam (2024).
Akku Akbar has also been associated with television and advertising before establishing himself in feature films. His filmmaking is often characterized by strong family relationships and socially grounded stories.
