Biography

Alex Belcher is an American composer known for his dynamic scores for films, television series, and video games. Raised in Kentucky, he developed a passion for music and storytelling at an early age, studying several instruments while also participating in theatrical productions. His interest in combining music with narrative eventually led him toward a career in film composition. After studying at Belmont University and Berklee College of Music, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Early Career

Shortly after arriving in Los Angeles, Belcher joined the renowned Remote Control Productions studio, where he worked under acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer. During this period, he began a long-standing collaboration with composer Henry Jackman, contributing to numerous major film projects and developing his skills in large-scale orchestral and electronic scoring.

Career Highlights

Belcher has contributed music to several high-profile productions, including Captain America: Civil War, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kong: Skull Island, The Predator, and the Uncharted video game series. He later gained recognition as a co-composer on the action thriller Extraction and as the composer of 21 Bridges.

His first major solo feature score came with Made in Italy, after which he continued to establish himself as an independent composer.
