Alex Berger (born March 22, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) is an American-born French media entrepreneur, television and film producer, creator, and strategic consultant. He is known for his contributions to the international entertainment industry, particularly in television production, digital media, and business development. He has built his career by developing television programmes, establishing production companies, and helping expand media businesses in Europe and internationally.

Berger began his professional career in television and entertainment during the 1980s. In 1986, he co-founded the production company NBdC with Tim Newman and Antoine de Caunes. He became involved in creating and producing television programmes, including Rapido, The Girlie Show, Burger Quiz, and other entertainment projects. His early experience helped him develop an understanding of television production, international programming, and media entrepreneurship.

During the 1990s, Berger held several important positions at Canal+, where he worked alongside Pierre Lescure. He became the chief executive of CanalNumedia and later co-CEO of VivendiNet, part of the Vivendi-Universal Group. He also played a role in developing Vizzavi, a multi-access digital platform created through a partnership involving Vivendi and Vodafone. His work during this period focused on digital entertainment, online services, media strategy, and the development of new business opportunities.

In 2008, Berger founded TOP – The Originals Productions and The Originals Group (TOG), focusing on producing high-quality television series for French and international audiences. One of his most recognised projects is the French espionage drama The Bureau (Le Bureau des Légendes) (2015–2020), created by Éric Rochant. Berger served as a producer on the series, which received international recognition and became an important production in his career.

His other notable production credits include Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cleopatra (2002), RRRrrrr!!! (2004), Dying to Be Beautiful (2005), and La Maison (2024). He has also been involved in international television projects such as The Agency (2024), the American adaptation of The Bureau, serving as an executive producer. His production work reflects his interest in bringing European stories to international audiences.

Apart from filmmaking and television production, Berger has worked as a business consultant and entrepreneur. He co-founded and led several companies, including MM&I, and has been involved in media strategy, digital innovation, and international co-productions. In 2019, he prepared a report for France's National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC), examining the development and organisation of French television drama in the changing international entertainment market.
