Alicia Roanne Witt (born August 21, 1975) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter known for her diverse career spanning film, television, and music. A child prodigy, Witt displayed remarkable talents from a young age, including speaking by two and reading by four.
Early Discovery and Beginnings in Film:
Her exceptional abilities caught the attention of director David Lynch when she was just five years old, after he heard her recite Shakespeare on the TV show "That's Incredible!". This pivotal moment led to her acting debut in Lynch's 1984 science fiction epic Dune, where she played Alia.
