Alison Sterling is a British film and television producer known for her work on independent feature films, television dramas, and award-winning short films. With a career spanning more than two decades, she has earned recognition for producing compelling stories, particularly those that highlight strong female characters and socially relevant themes.

 

 

Early Life

Alison Sterling began her professional career as an actress and theatre producer before transitioning into television and film production in 1997. Her early experience in performance and stage production provided a solid foundation for her later work behind the camera.

 

 

Career

Sterling's first feature film as a producer was Flying Blind (2012), directed by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz and starring Helen McCrory. The film premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and was released internationally. She has also produced several acclaimed short films, including Turning, which received a BAFTA nomination, and Flytopia, both of which were screened at numerous international film festivals and won multiple awards.
