Allan Miller
Biography
Mr. Miller was an American conductor and music educator with extensive experience in orchestral performance and arts education. He earned both a B.A. and an M.A. in Music from Harvard University and studied conducting in Europe under renowned conductor Hermann Scherchen.
He served as Educational Conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Associate Conductor of the Denver Symphony, in addition to appearing as a guest conductor with several orchestras across the United States.
Miller was also active in New York City's performing-arts community. He founded The Late Late Concerts at Lincoln Center and co-founded Symphony Space, a major performing-arts center on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
