Amardeep Singh Gill
Biography
Amardeep Singh Gill (born 8 October 1968) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, and lyricist associated with Punjabi cinema and music.
Gill was born to a Jatt-Sikh family in Bathinda, Punjab, on 8 October 1968, though his ancestral village is Gholia Kalan in the Moga district. He holds a master’s degree in Punjabi from Punjabi University.
He began his career as a lyricist, writing several hit songs including Sili Sili Hawa, Je Mille Oh Kudi, Hanju, Socha Vich Tu, Ki Beeti Sade Nal, and Pyar Kar Ke.
In 2014, Gill directed his first short film, Sutta Naag. He later contributed as a writer and lyricist to the film Yoddha: The Warrior.
His feature directorial debut came in 2017 with Jora 10 Numbaria, which starred Deep Sidhu, Dharmendra, Mukul Dev, Sardar Sohi, and Mukesh Tiwari.
