Lincoln's acting journey began after attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). His first major role came in 1996 as Edgar "Egg" Cooke in the BBC drama "This Life." He continued to build his career with roles in British television series such as "Teachers" (2001-2003), where he also directed two episodes, and the ITV series "Afterlife" (2005-2006). He also gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Mark in the popular Christmas-themed romantic comedy film "Love Actually" in 2003.
