Angie Higgins
Biography
Angie Higgins is one of Australia's leading editors of drama and comedy. In a career spanning three decades, she has worked successfully across several genres, from much-loved relationship dramas like The Secret Life of Us (2001) to gritty police procedurals like Rush (2008), acclaimed children's television like Mustangs FC (2017), all the way to the evocative supernatural drama of Glitch (2015).
Angie has collaborated time and time again with some of the country's most renowned directors, among them Emma Freeman, Daina Reid, Kate Dennis, Shirley Barrett, and Kevin Carlin, for whom Angie has edited two feature films, The Extra (2005) and BoyTown (2006).
Angie commenced her career as an assistant editor on the landmark Australian drama The Flying Doctors (1986), quickly leaping editor of the iconic serial Neighbours (1985) in the mid-90s. Since that time, Angie has edited over twenty television series.
Highlights include multiple seasons of the enduring police procedural Stingers (1998), seventeen episodes of the beloved romantic comedy Offspring (2010), and the popular mystery series The Doctor Blake Mysteries (2013).
Angie's work on the immensely popular Molly (2016), one of the highest-rating and most awarded miniseries in Australian television history drew her an Australian Screen Editors Guild nomination. Most recently, Angie has edited Five Bedrooms (2019) for Ten and SkyVision, The Gloaming (2020) for Stan and ABC International, and Mustangs FC (2017) series 3.
