Anirudh Pandita

Biography

Anirudh Pandita is a founder of Pocket Aces, India's leading digital media entertainment company, whose mission is to solve boredom. 

 

The company operates five socially distributed content brands: FilterCopy (short videos), Dice Media (multi-episode web series), Gobble (lifestyle videos), Jambo (young-adult animation shorts), and Nutshell (infotainment videos), as well as a direct-to-consumer platform: Loco (game streaming and e-sports app).

The company's socially distributed video network has amassed more than 12 billion video views with a current run rate of over 500 million monthly views. The company's short-form channels are consistently ranked as the top short video creators in their categories.

 

 Dice Media has made some of the most successful long-form digital content, including "Little Things" "What The Folks" and "Operation MBBS", and has the highest series renewal rate in the industry. It is also the first new-age creator to have a multi-show deal with streaming giant, Netflix.

In July 2019, Pocket Aces announced an INR 100 crore investment from Sequoia India, DSP Group 3one4 Capital, and other prominent investors.

Anirudh, along with Ashwin Suresh and Aditi Shrivastava were featured on CNBC Young Turks in November 2017, with Pocket Aces being listed as one of the top 10 Indian startups to watch out for in 2018. 

 

The trio also has spots on Fortune 40 Under 40 2019, Social Samosa 40 Under 40 2019 and IMPACT's 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurs 2019, BWDisrupt 40 Under 40 2019. Anirudh and Ashwin bagged Digital Entrepreneur of the Year at Talentrack Awards 2018.

Prior to founding Pocket Aces, Anirudh was at Valo Group LLC, a value-oriented hedge fund based in Philadelphia. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking and private equity at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Istithmar World Capital in New York, London, and Dubai.

Anirudh holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
