Biography
Anisa Butt, born on 18 January 1993 in London, England, is a British-Indian actress, writer, poet, and producer who has worked in Indian film, television, and streaming productions. She studied Drama (Performance) at the University of London and began performing at a young age.
She began her acting career as a child artist in the Disney Channel India series Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De (2010), playing Shyla. She subsequently appeared in films including Jhootha Hi Sahi (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), and Baat Bann Gayi (2013), her first leading film role.
Her later film credits include Brahman Naman (2016) and Half Girlfriend (2017). On streaming platforms, she appeared in The Verdict – State vs Nanavati (2019) and BOSS: Baap of Special Services (2019).
Butt played Gayatri Chauhan in the crime drama series Code M (2020), starring Jennifer Winget. Her other recent credits include Khwaabon Ka Jhamela (2024), Guardian (2025), and Simulacra (2026).
