Anjana Sukhani

Biography

Anjana Sukhani (born 10 December 1978) is an Indian actress and model who primarily appears in Hindi films, along with a few Telugu films and one Kannada film. She was born in Jaipur to a Sindhi Hindu family, the daughter of Preethi and Om Sukhani, and has an older brother. She earned her master’s degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University before pursuing a career in acting.

 

 

Sukhani began her career with modeling and television advertisements, most notably appearing alongside Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in a Cadbury Dairy Milk commercial. She also gained attention for her performance in the remixed Hindi music video Ghar Jayegi. Despite not coming from a film industry background, she landed significant roles in films such as the 2007 multi-starrer blockbuster Salaam-e-Ishq and the comedy sequel Golmaal Returns.

 

 

Her other notable Hindi films include Jai Veeru and Jashnn. She made her Kannada film debut with Maleyali Jotheyali, starring alongside Ganesh and Yuvika Chaudhary. In Telugu cinema, she appeared in Naa Oopiri (2005) and later in Don Seenu with Ravi Teja. In 2016, Anjana debuted in Marathi cinema with Laal Ishq, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi, opposite Swapnil Joshi.

 

 

Anjana Sukhani is recognized for her versatility across multiple regional film industries, combining her modeling experience with acting talent to establish a strong presence in Indian cinema.
