Biography
Anna Foglietta, born on April 3, 1979, in Rome, Italy, is an Italian actress known for her work in film, television, theatre, and advertising. She began performing in theatre during her teenage years and gradually developed a successful career on both stage and screen.
Her television breakthrough came with La squadra (2005–2007), followed by Distretto di Polizia. She later appeared in productions including The Mafia Kills Only in Summer (2016–2018) and Alfredino: Una storia italiana (2021).
Foglietta has built an impressive film career with roles in The American (2010), Escort in Love (2011), Nessuno mi può giudicare (2011), Tutta colpa di Freud (2014), Noi e la Giulia (2015), Perfect Strangers (2016), If Life Gives You Lemons (2018), Blackout Love (2021), and Elf Me (2023). Her performance in Perfect Strangers earned major recognition, while her role in Un giorno all'improvviso won her the Nastro d'Argento for Best Actress in 2019.
She also starred in the Prime Video series Everybody Loves Diamonds (2023), playing Anna alongside Kim Rossi Stuart. More recently, she has expanded into filmmaking, making her directorial debut with Una storia (2026).
