Anwar Khan

Biography

Anwar Khan is an Indian dialogue writer, producer, and director of Hindi films. He was once an associate of the late producer and director, Manmohan Desai. After the death of Desai, Anwar struggled while searching for work as he could not get the type of films that Desai made. 

 

But in 2013, he was able to carry forward his mentor’s legacy in doing family-oriented movies. Anwar made his first directorial venture entitled Four Two Ka One, which stars Jimmy Shergill, Rajpal Yadav, Murli Sharma, and Nikita Anand.

 

Before this, he started his career as a dialogue writer for Hindi films. His works include Fifty Fifty in 1981, Jaan Ki Baazi in 1985, Mera Haque in 1986, Uttar Dakshin and Dadagiri in 1987, Jeete Hain Shaan Se in 1988, Gola Barood and Shehzaade in 1989, Khatarnaak and Maha Sangram in 1990.

 

His other works include Sanam Bewafa, Vishnu Devaa, Dushman Devta, Phool Bane Angarey in 1991; Jaagruti in 1992; Chandra Mukhi in 1993; Sangdil Sanam, Chaand Kaa Tukdaa and Amaanat in 1994; Gambler and Karan Arjun in 1995; Bal Brahmachari in 1996; Auzaar, Lahoo Ke Do Rang and Kaun Sachcha Kaun Jhootha in 1997, Achanak and Bandhan in 1998; Lal Baadshah and Mother in 1999, Hadh Kar Di Aapne in 2000, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya in 2001, Suno Sasurjee in 2004, Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karen in 2005 and a lot more.

 

In 1991, Anwar also worked as the Production Manager of the Bollywood film, Patthar Ke Phool, which stars Salman Khan, and as the Assistant Production Coordinator of Aziz Mirza’s comedy film, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman in 1992.
