Apeksha Porwal is an Indian actress and former beauty queen, best known for her acting debut in the SonyLIV Originals series Undekhi (2020). Directed by Ashish R. Shukla and produced by Siddharth Sengupta and Jyoti Sagar, the series marked her entry into the entertainment industry and showcased her talent on a significant platform.
Apeksha was born and brought up in Mumbai, and she is fluent in multiple languages, including Hindi, English, and Marathi. Her passion for acting and performing arts led her to study method acting at the renowned Jeff Goldberg Studio in Mumbai, where she completed a 9-month diploma program.
She studied under the guidance of Jeff Goldberg, a former faculty member at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, in New York. Additionally, she trained under the mentorship of acclaimed actors Neeraj Kabi and Atul Mongia, further refining her craft.
Theatre Career
Apeksha’s journey in the world of performing arts began in theatre. She was the lead actor in the comedy play Deranged Marriage, which toured across India in 2016-17. The production was highly successful and contributed to her growing popularity in the theatre scene.
Additionally, Apeksha was involved in a theatrical adaptation of Pirandello's classical play Six Characters in Search of an Author, also produced by the Jeff Goldberg Studio. These experiences helped her gain significant stage exposure and shaped her as a versatile performer.
Television and Web Series
In 2020, Apeksha made her television debut with the web series Undekhi, where her performance as a key character garnered attention. The show was produced for SonyLIV Originals and brought her into the limelight in the digital space.
Earlier, Apeksha was also seen in Imperfect (2018), a web series produced by Zoom Studios and directed by Anand Tiwari. Her roles in these series showcased her range as an actress and marked her transition from theatre to the screen.
