Biography
Arav, born Nafeez Kizar on 31 October 1990 in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, is an Indian actor and model who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. He spent his formative years in Trichy and later moved to Chennai, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hindustan University.
Arav initially appeared in minor roles, including a brief appearance in Mani Ratnam's O Kadhal Kanmani (2015). He made his notable acting debut in Saithan (2016), starring alongside Vijay Antony.
He gained nationwide recognition in Tamil entertainment after participating in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil in 2017, hosted by Kamal Haasan. Arav emerged as the winner of the inaugural season, which significantly boosted his popularity and opened opportunities for him as a lead actor.
Following his Bigg Boss victory, Arav began taking on leading roles in Tamil films, including projects involving police, thriller and horror themes. His career has since expanded as he continues to work across different genres in Tamil cinema.
