Biography

Arjuna Harjai is an Indian composer, singer, and music producer known for his contributions to Bollywood films, television, advertising, and digital media.

 

Early Life and Education

Born on February 28, 1989, in Delhi, Arjuna was introduced to Hindustani classical music by his parents at a young age. He began composing music at 14, leveraging his piano skills and available music technology. He pursued formal training in piano, achieving Grade 8 in Western classical and jazz piano from the Delhi School of Music. In 2006, he moved to Mumbai to study under playback singer Suresh Wadkar. He also completed a course in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute, Mumbai, graduating as the highest scorer in 2008.

 

Career Highlights

Arjuna's career began with composing advertising jingles for major brands such as Cadbury, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Lenovo, Big Bazaar, Samsung, Maruti, Sprite, and MTNL. He transitioned to film music with the Punjabi film Titoo MBA in 2014. His notable works include:

 

P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke (2016): Composed the original score for 107 episodes and six songs. 

Lucknow Central (2017): Composed three songs, background score, and soundtracks for trailers and commercials.

Judgementall Hai Kya (2019): Composed the song "Kis Raste Hai Jana," which received praise from producer Ekta Kapoor.

 

Arjuna has also worked on films like Calapor (2013), Guddu Engineer (2016), Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019), and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare (2019). StarsUnfolded+2

 

Awards and Recognition

Arjuna has received several accolades for his work:

Gold and Bronze awards at the Creative ABBY Awards for Original Background Score for P.O.W. – Bandi Yuddh Ke.

During the 2020 lockdown, Arjuna started creating vlogs with his wife, Divya Harjai, and their son, Avyuktha. His YouTube channel gained over one million subscribers, earning him a Golden Play Button.
