Biography
Arne Nolting, born on December 17, 1972, in Braunschweig, Germany, is a distinguished German screenwriter, director, and producer.
From 1995 to 2001, Nolting pursued studies in Theater, Film, and Television Sciences, German Language and Literature, and Political Science at the universities of Marburg and Cologne. He was a recipient of a scholarship from Drehbuchwerkstatt Niedersachsen's "Script 2000 Fiction" program. In 2001, he furthered his education by completing a training program to become a "European Script Consultant" under Philip Parker.
In 2006, he participated in a Writer's Room seminar led by Bill Finklestein and Lee Goldberg. Since 2000, Nolting has been actively involved in writing screenplays for various film and television productions, frequently collaborating with Jan Martin Scharf, a screenwriter based in Cologne.
Nolting's career highlights include co-creating and writing the successful Netflix series "Barbarians." He has also written for numerous other notable television series such as "Tatort," "Club der roten Bänder" (The Red Band Society), "Weinberg" (The Valley), and "Rampensau." His film credits include "Wahrheit oder Pflicht" (Truth or Dare), which he also co-directed, "Salami Aleikum," "Die Mamba," "300 Worte Deutsch" (300 Words of German), and "Die Schule der magischen Tiere" (School of Magical Animals).
