Biography

Arunoday Singh is an Indian film actor. He is best known for playing supporting roles in Bollywood films like Yeh Saali Zindagi, Jism 2, and Mohenjo Daro.
 

 

In 2009, Arunoday Singh made his debut with Sikander, playing the role of a Kashmiri freedom fighter. He was then seen in the Sonam Kapoor-starrer Aisha (2010), a rom-com based on Jane Austen's 1815 novel Emma. 

 

The actor's next movie was Vinay Shukla's Mirch (2010), a drama film about gender equality and women's sexuality that was showcased through four stories within the film. The year 2011 was a notable one for Arunoday. 

 

He acted in Sudhir Mishra's romantic thriller Yeh Saali Zindagi, alongside Irrfan Khan, Chitrangada Singh, and Aditi Rao Hydari, and was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Screen Awards.

He then essayed the role of an intelligence officer in the erotic thriller Jism 2 (2012), starring Bollywood débutante Sunny Leone. The movie went on to earn around 35 crore INR and Arunoday went on to act in the 2014 romantic action comedy Main Tera Hero, where he plays a corrupt policeman. 

 

After portraying the role of a ghost in the supernatural thriller Pizza (2014), Arunoday featured in two Emraan Hashmi movies- Ungli (2014) and Mr. X (2015), neither of which did much to further his career. 

 

In 2016, the actor starred in the controversial autobiographical film Buddha in a Traffic Jam, which is based on the life of Bollywood film director Vivek Agnihotri, who also directed this film. The movie touches upon issues like moral policing, college politics, and corruption. 

 

His other 2016 release is Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro, a periodic adventure romance, starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde.
