Ashish Shakya
Biography
Ashish Shakya is an Indian stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and producer. He began his career as a comedy writer after completing his engineering degree and later moved into stand-up comedy. He also wrote the popular humour column “The Blunder Years” for The Hindustan Times.
Shakya became widely known as one of the co-founders of All India Bakchod (AIB) alongside Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, and Gursimran Khamba. Through AIB, he worked on projects including AIB Knockout, AIB Diwas, AIB Presents Royal Turds, and the satirical series On Air with AIB.
He has also worked as a television writer and appeared in shows such as On Air with AIB and Bhaag Beanie Bhaag. In 2020, he released his stand-up comedy special Life Is Good, further establishing his career as a solo comedian.
With his sharp observational humor and satirical style, Ashish Shakya has become a recognized name in India's modern stand-up comedy scene.
