Ashley Thomas is a British actor and rapper, born on February 4, 1985, in Hammersmith, London. He studied at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and is also known by his stage name, Bashy, as a rapper. He has built a career spanning acting, music, and television.
Thomas began acting at a young age and later appeared in films such as Shank (2010), The Veteran (2011), The Man Inside (2012), My Brother the Devil (2013), Brotherhood (2016), and Been So Long (2018). On television, he had roles in Top Boy, 24: Legacy, Salvation, and The IPCress File.
His breakthrough came with the Amazon horror anthology series Them (2021), in which he played Henry Emory, the husband of Livia “Lucky” Emory, portrayed by Deborah Ayorinde. His performance earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Male Performance in a New Scripted Series.
Thomas later appeared in Great Expectations (2023) as Jaggers and Black Cake (2023) as Byron Bennett. His more recent credits include The Serpent Queen, In Flight, and the miniseries Hostage, in which he portrayed Dr. Alex Anderson.
Alongside acting, Thomas has pursued a career in music as Bashy, establishing himself in the British hip-hop and grime scene. His work across music and screen has made him a versatile performer in both the British and international entertainment industries.
