Ashley Zukerman

Biography

Actor Ashley Zukerman was born in 1983 in Santa Monica, California. As a child, he relocated with his family to Melbourne, Australia. After graduating from the well-respected Victorian College of the Arts in 2006, Zukerman began his career as an actor in the theatre. His first performance was in "The History Boys" at the Melbourne Theatre Company. 

 

In 2008 Zukerman got a big break when he was cast in the role of Michael Sandrelli on the hit Australian television series "Rush" (2008-), Soon afterward, he appeared in the HBO miniseries "The Pacific" (2010). Zukerman left "Rush" in 2011, and that same year appeared on the short-lived television series "Terra Nova"(FOX, 2011). 

 

In 2013 Zukerman joined the cast of the award-winning Australian drama "Underbelly" (2008-), playing Detective James Bruce in 6 episodes. In 2014, Zukerman was cast as Jesse Banks in the Australian series "The Code"(2014-). Also in 2014, Zukerman joined the cast of "Manhattan" (WGN, 2014-) a series about the lives of people building the very first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico. 

 

Zukerman played the role of Charlie Isaacs, an ambitious science prodigy. In 2015 it was announced that Zukerman would play the role of Jake Greggson in the SyFy miniseries "Childhood's End," based on the novel by Arthur C. Clarke.
