Biography
Ashokan is an Indian actor best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Born on 23 May 1961, he has been active in the film industry since 1979 and has built a career spanning more than four decades.
He made his film debut with Peruvazhiyambalam (1979), directed by P. Padmarajan. He subsequently appeared in acclaimed films such as Yavanika (1982), Yuvajanotsavam (1986), Thoovanathumbikal (1987), Moonnam Pakkam (1988) and Amaram (1991).
Ashokan became particularly popular for playing Thomaskutty in the comedy classic In Harihar Nagar (1990). He reprised the character in 2 Harihar Nagar (2009) and later appeared in In Ghost House Inn (2010).
His later film credits include Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2023), Kishkindha Kaandam (2024), Eko (2025) and Adinaasam Vellapokkam (2025). IMDb also lists several upcoming projects, including Pathira Kurukkan, which reunites him with Jagadish, Mukesh, and Siddique.
With his long career and memorable performances in both serious dramas and comedy films, Ashokan remains a respected supporting and character actor in Malayalam cinema.
