Ashton Sanders is an American actor who has quickly made a name for himself with his powerful performances in critically acclaimed films. Born on October 24, 1995, in Carson, California, Sanders's journey to stardom began with his early passion for acting. He honed his skills at the prestigious Ramón C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts in Los Angeles before pursuing a degree in theater at DePaul University in Chicago.   

Sanders's breakthrough role came in 2016 with his portrayal of the teenage Chiron in the Academy Award-winning film "Moonlight." His nuanced performance, capturing the complexities of a young man struggling with his identity and sexuality, garnered widespread acclaim and solidified his place as a rising star in Hollywood.   

Following the success of "Moonlight," Sanders continued to impress audiences with his diverse roles. He appeared in films such as "The Equalizer 2" alongside Denzel Washington, "Captive State" with John Goodman and Vera Farmiga, and "Judas and the Black Messiah" alongside Daniel Kaluuya.
