Biography

Avi Lerner is an Israeli-American film producer who has made a significant impact on the action film genre. He is the founder and CEO of Millennium Films, a production company known for its high-octane, star-studded blockbusters.   

Early Life and Career:

Born in Haifa, Israel, in 1947, Lerner's interest in film began early on. He served in the Israeli military before venturing into the film industry, starting with managing movie theaters in Tel Aviv. In the 1970s, he recognized the potential of home video and established one of Israel's largest video distribution companies. This success led him to South Africa, where he founded Nu Metro Entertainment Group, a film production and distribution company.   

Millennium Films and Hollywood Domination:

Lerner's ambition led him to Hollywood in the early 1990s, where he founded Millennium Films. The company quickly became a force in action cinema, producing a string of commercially successful films. Some of their most notable productions include:
