Biography

Avtar Gill (born May 14, 1950) is an Indian actor who appears predominantly in Hindi and Punjabi language 13 films and television serials. He has done many plays with Indian People's Theatre Association Mumbai.

 

 

Best known for playing supporting and character roles, Avtar Gill is a popular actor in the Hindi TV and film industry. The veteran star who began acting in 1979, in his illustrious career spanning more than 35 years, has starred in more than 60 films. 

 

Some of his most notable films include Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai (1980), Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991), Junoon (1992), Mohra (1994), Rangeela (1995), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995), Baazi (1995), Baadshah (1999), Indian (2001), LOC Kargil (2003), Airlift (2016), Wazir (2016), and Toofan Singh (2017), a Punjabi drama film directed by Baghal Singh. 

 

Apart from films, the actor also has an elaborate career in the TV industry, some of his most notable series include Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Nukkad, Tara, and Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath. 

 

His 2019 releases include Aasud, directed by Nilesh Raosaheb Jalamkar, and Rabb Da Radio 2.
