Bahul Ramesh

Biography

Bahul Ramesh is an Indian cinematographer and screenwriter who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. Originally from Payyanur, Kannur, Kerala, he developed an interest in cinema during his school years. He studied Visual Communication in Chennai and later completed formal training in cinematography at the L. V. Prasad Film & TV Academy.

 

Ramesh began his professional career as a cinematographer and made his independent feature-film debut with Mandharam (2018). He subsequently handled cinematography for films including Kakshi: Amminippilla (2019), Mohan Kumar Fans (2021) and Innale Vare (2022).

He made his screenwriting debut with Kishkindha Kaandam (2024), directed by Dinjith Ayyathan. Ramesh served as both writer and cinematographer, earning considerable appreciation for the film's layered mystery and atmospheric visuals.

 

He continued his collaboration with Dinjith Ayyathan on Eko (2025), again working as both screenwriter and cinematographer. He also wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogue for the second season of Kerala Crime Files.
