Benjamin Gilani
Biography
Benjamin Gilani is a well-known Indian film, television, and theater actor. He graduated from FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) Pune in 1972 along with batch mates Naseeruddin Shah and Tom Alter.
Prior to FTII he studied and taught at St. Stephens College, Delhi. Motley Productions a Mumbai based theater-production was founded by Benjamin and his batch mates in 1977.
Gilani has acted in many Indian Movies as well as TV Shows since 1974. His debut movie was Alaap (1977).
He is well known for his roles in Hum Dum (2005), 8 x 10 Tasveer, Barah Aana (2009), and Jai HO! Democracy (2015) and the recent hit Bajirao Mastani (2015).
He was last seen in BHK Bhalla@Halla.Kom (2015). He will soon be seen in his upcoming film Cute Kameena which is slated to release in March 2016.
