Beren Saat
Biography
Beren Saat was born on 26 February 1984 in Ankara, Turkey. She is a prominent Turkish actress who began her professional career after participating in the television talent competition Türkiye'nin Yıldızları. She was discovered by director Tomris Giritlioğlu, which helped launch her acting career.
Saat gained widespread recognition with her role as Yasemin Ünsal in Hatırla Sevgili (2006–2008). She achieved major success as Bihter Yöreoğlu Ziyagil in the popular romantic drama Aşk-ı Memnu (2008–2010), earning two consecutive Golden Butterfly Awards for Best Actress.
She continued her successful career with leading roles in Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? (2010–2012), İntikam (2013–2014), and Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem (2015–2016). Her film credits include Güz Sancısı (2009), Gecenin Kanatları (2009), Rhino Season (2012), and Benim Dünyam (2013).
International audiences became more familiar with Saat through Netflix's The Gift (Atiye, 2019–2021), in which she played the lead character Atiye. She later starred as Serin in the Netflix film Last Call for Istanbul (2023).
In addition to acting, Saat has worked as a voice artist and has participated in various charitable and social initiatives. She has been married to Turkish singer Kenan Doğulu since 2014.
