Bhaskar, popularly known as Bommarillu Bhaskar, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who primarily works in the Telugu film industry. Born as Bhaskar Natarajan in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, he studied filmmaking at the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. He is widely recognized for his strong storytelling skills and family-oriented dramas.
Early Life and Education
Bhaskar was born in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, and developed an interest in cinema at an early age. After completing his formal education, he pursued film studies at the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu. Before becoming a director, he worked as an associate director on successful Telugu films, gaining valuable industry experience.
Career
Bhaskar made his directorial debut with Bommarillu (2006), starring Siddharth and Genelia D'Souza. The film became a major commercial and critical success, earning him widespread recognition and several awards for his direction and screenplay.
Following the success of Bommarillu, he directed Parugu (2008), starring Allu Arjun, which also performed well at the box office. His next film, Orange (2010), received mixed reviews upon release but later gained a cult following among audiences.
He later directed films such as Ongole Githa (2013), Bangalore Naatkal (2016), and Most Eligible Bachelor (2021). The romantic drama Most Eligible Bachelor, starring Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde, was both a commercial and critical success, marking a strong comeback in his career.
