Bhushan Patel
Biography
Bhushan Patel is an Indian film director, cinematographer and actor known for his work in Bollywood, particularly in the horror and thriller genres. Also known as Bhooshan Patel, he was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and comes from a family associated with filmmaking, as his father was a cameraman.
He began his career as an actor, appearing in films such as Junoon (1992), Jaanam (1992) and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee (1993). He subsequently worked as a cinematographer on films including Gunehgar (1995), Bambai Ka Babu (1996), Dastak (1996), Tamanna (1997) and Kartoos (1999).
Patel later moved into television direction before making his feature-film directorial debut with 1920: Evil Returns (2012). He gained recognition for directing horror films such as Ragini MMS 2 (2014), starring Sunny Leone, Alone (2015), featuring Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover, and Amavas (2019).
His other directing credits include television productions such as Amber Dhara, Aathvaan Vachan and Dwarkadheesh: Bhagwaan Shree Krishn. He also directed the thriller series Dangerous (2020), starring Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover.
