Biography

Bijitesh De is a talented Indian Director of Photography (DOP) known for his impressive work in the film and advertising industries. His journey in cinematography began after he completed his Postgraduate (PG) course in Cinematography from the renowned Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) in 2005, which provided him with a strong foundation in visual storytelling.

 

Following his education, Bijitesh gained valuable experience by assisting on several major film projects, including:

 

  1. Don (2006) – A Bollywood action thriller directed by Farhan Akhtar, where he assisted in cinematography, contributing to the film's sleek, stylish visuals.
  2.  
  3. Aaja Nachle (2007) – A Bollywood musical film directed by Anil Mehta, where Bijitesh continued to develop his craft in visual storytelling.
  4.  
  5. Miss Lovely (2012) – An award-winning indie film directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, where Bijitesh worked on creating the film’s raw, retro aesthetic, which earned it recognition for its unique look.

In addition to these films, he worked on hundreds of advertisements, helping to shape the visual language of more than 600 TV commercials. His work in commercials has ranged from glamorous to minimalist, always focusing on creating compelling imagery that resonates with audiences.
