Bindu Panikkar is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. She is known for her versatility, having portrayed comic, dramatic, emotional, and darker character roles during a career spanning more than three decades.
Early Life and Career
Bindu Panikkar was born on 21 April 1968 and is from Kozhikode, Kerala. She entered the film industry in the early 1990s and gradually established herself as one of Malayalam cinema's dependable character actresses.
She became widely recognized for her ability to move comfortably between comedy and serious dramatic roles. Her performances often brought strong personality and emotional depth to supporting characters.
Film Career
One of her notable performances came in Sallapam (1996), where she played Padmini. She later appeared in numerous successful Malayalam films, including Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshathrathilakkam, Vanaprastham, and C.I.D. Moosa and Soothradharan.
Her performance as Devaki/Devumma in Soothradharan (2001) received particular critical appreciation and earned her an Asianet Film Award for Second Best Actress. She subsequently continued to take on a wide variety of roles in mainstream and character-driven films.
She also received recognition for her work in Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum (2013) and later for her performance in the psychological thriller Rorschach (2022). Her work in Rorschach earned her the SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Malayalam.

Personal Life
Bindu Panikkar married actor Sai Kumar in 2009. She has one daughter from her earlier marriage.
