Binod Pradhan
Biography
An alumnus of FTII, Pune, Binod Pradhan is an Indian cinematographer, known for his award-winning works in films like 1942 A Love Story, Devdas, Rang De Basanti, Mission Kashmir, and Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Pradhan started his career at Sagar Arts studio, where he assisted Prem on films like Charas (1976) and Ram Bharose (1977). He, later, went on to work with Mani Kaul on Ghashiram Kotwal (1976), A. K. Bir on Gharonda (1977), and Jabbar Patel on Jait Re Jait (1977).
Pradhan made his breakthrough with Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1985), which went on to become a cult classic Indian film. Some of his impressive works are Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007), Kismat Konnection (2008), Delhi-6 (2009), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) and 2 States (2014). His other projects include the Hindi film Baaghi: Rebels in Love (2016) and Malayalam film Kayamkulam Kochunni (2018) and Pahuna: The Little Visitors (2018).
His other project includes Kalank (2019), starring Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. Binod Pradhan His other projects include Chehre (2021) starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
